Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is looking for a Plant Supervisor to oversee the operations staff at the AGP Refinery in St. Joseph, MO.  This is an excellent role for a strong leader who is interested in a company offering extensive growth opportunities.  The Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day production and will ensure proper operating parameters, techniques, and safety objectives are maintained with plant personnel.  Plan to utilize industry expertise to train and manage hourly personnel, while reporting to the Refinery Plant Superintendent.


  • Maintains operation of the plant through inspection, trouble shooting, assisting on projects and communication with pertinent staff
  • Monitors and maintains production and product quality
  • Inspects and ensures efficient equipment operations
  • Trains and supervises employees through scheduling work, checking quality of work, conducting performance appraisals, and handling disciplinary matters
  • Develops and manages projects as assigned


  • Knowledge of refining principles and practices
  • Knowledge of supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction, training and motivation of employees
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations as they apply to plant operations
  • Skill in negotiating, analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to organize employee work schedules to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • Plant operations supervisory experience, required
