Overview

Ag Processing Inc is currently seeking a seasoned Senior/Lead Internal Auditor to provide expertise in accounting and auditing priciples to our business.  AGP is a farmer-owned cooperative engaged in the domestic and world-wide procurement, processing, marketing, and transportation of grains and grain products.

Since its formation in 1983, AGP has been committed to the success of its owners, making a profit in every year of its existence, with over $3 billion in sales in the most recent fiscal year. Today, ownership includes 142 local cooperatives throughout the Midwest, and five regional cooperatives throughout the United States and Canada.

  • The largest "cooperative" soybean processing company in the world.
  •  A leading supplier of refined vegetable oil in the United States.

Responsibilities

Will work alongside an amazing team to audit a variety of accounting, financial, and operating systems, records and procedures requiring the application of professional accounting and auditing principles.  Plan and execute audits with minimal supervision. Prepare formal written reports expressing opinions on the financial position of operating units, the attainment of company goals and objectives and the adequacy and effectiveness of company systems, policies and procedures.  Unique opportunities abound, including conducting special projects using creative analysis, such as data analytics and fraud investigations, and coordinating activities with our public auditors.  This position offers visibility with the corporate management staff for a committed individual who wants to contribute to the company’s success via idea sharing and collaboration.

Qualifications

This internal auditor position requires a four-year college degree in accounting or computer science. An experienced user of PC based software in a client-server environment is a plus, as is several years of experience in public accounting or financial audit. Good written/oral communication skills are a must and CPA, CIA or CISA certification is a plus. Up to 15% travel, primarily to Midwestern locations.
