Overview

AGP Inc has an exciting opportunities available for Merchandiser/Commodity Trader in the location of Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota or Missouri. The Merchandiser/Commodity Trader will be responsible for procurement, storage, and sales of grain.  They will also promote customer relations and coordinates efforts with various departments within company.

Responsibilities

1. Assists internal and external customers with sales and questions, including but not limited to providing market quotes and discussing market trends.

2. Monitors and maintains product inventory through inspection and providing direction to various clerks as to work to be done and answering questions they may have.  

3. Coordinates with various departments to ensure efficient and accurate operations.

4. Reviews and prepares operation documentation including various reports for internal and external use.

 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of supervisory techniques to accomplish motivation, instruction, and training of employees.
  • Knowledge of company products and services.
  • Skill in effective written and oral communication.
  • Skill in mathematical computation.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to effectively function as a team player.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to organize employee work schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Ability to maintain high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests.
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.

 

Education and Experience:   

                                                                                             

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
